ACCEPTING NEW ARTISTS
PYRO, one of Louisville's newest
co-operative art galleries, is located at 624 W. Main Street. A member of LOOK and part of
the first Friday Gallery Hop, PYRO is seeking
talented artists who are serious about exhibiting
and selling their work, as well as becoming vibrant
contributors to the gallery's co-operative efforts.
Based on available openings, PYRO will consider
new membership on a monthly basis. If you are
interested in PYRO membership, please contact
Corie Neumayer or Collis Marshall about the next scheduled date for membership
review. Bring the following information to the
gallery during regular gallery hours (Thursday
through Saturday, 11-6):
- a letter of intent,
- an artist's resume,
- slides, pictures, or CD-ROM
of no more than 10 pieces of your current work
done in the past two years (Do not include more
than 10 pieces of work, but you may include
slides of details.)
- a separate page listing the title,
size, media, and date of each work submitted.
Please download and read the information
summary sheet that describes responsibilities
of PYRO membership to see whether you and PYRO
will be well matched. Please also consider visiting
the gallery and talking with current PYRO members.
You will be notified within a week whether to
bring in actual work. If you are invited to do
so, you will be given the opportunity for a 20
minute presentation of your work to current PYRO
membership. During this time, you can ask questions
and respond to questions. Following this meeting,
your candidacy will be voted upon by the current
PYRO membership, and you will be notified promptly.
